FOSSIL.IZ is a material that resembles terrazzo. However, instead of using stones, it has been created by using metal wastes to achieve a new generation of terrazzo. The objective was to come up with a new kind of material that is made by reusable materials. So, I created new kind of aesthetically beautiful terrazzo with environmentally consciousness.
This prototypes show the effect of a colorful concrete as a base. Proves that FOSSIL. IZ can take whatever shape it can take, and can be managed to suit every architectural environment.
Transparency as a medium /
ALPHABET OF WASTES
Transparency is the condition of being transparent, where the word transparent means allowing light to pass through
so that objects behind can be distinctly seen.
This part contains a further improvement of new generation terrazzo. A new sort of perspective to discover the material more cleary. I wanted to answer the question “how terrazzo would look if it was transparent material?” And to answer the question, the best solution was to find the perfect material to apply.
Using polyester was the perfect way to show the distribution of materials inside terrazzo kind of looking prototype.
